Beauty Vs. Healthy: Has body positivity gone too far?
Back in the 1800s being overweight was seen as desirable because it signaled wealth. It meant you were not working out in a field. Then came the time of size zero starving models... which is also not healthy. Then came the body positivity movement, which was supposed to allow women to accept themselves for having more realistic body types. But now as a society we seem to have overcorrected once again, with claims that simply exercising is racist and morbid obesity is healthy. On this episode of 360 View, Scottie Nell Hughes speaks with researcher Keshraw Majidi about the changing standards of beauty.
