Our findings showed that limited seasonal effects were present in the semen quality of BS bulls. On the other hand, in BB bulls lower semen quality was found between July and November, with a different timing depending on the seminal parameter. This effect of the season on BB semen parameters appears to be related to the THI. The data presented in this study shows that the temperature and humidity, summarized in THI, could affect the semen quality of the bull on breed basis, given that volume, concentration, total sperm in the ejaculate, total motility, membrane integrity, and sperm normal morphology were significantly reduced by an increasing THI in the Belgian Blue bulls, but not in Brown Swiss bulls.

Since then, over the last several years, a significant step forward has been made, with incorporation of immune checkpoint inhibitors and anti-angiogenic agents. In addition, better appreciation of mesothelioma biology has allowed detection of novelmolecular therapeutic targets. All the above-mentioned strategies, along with the additional promising approaches represented by adoptive T cell therapy, dendritic cell therapy, cancer vaccines, oncoviral therapy, and agents targeting mesothelin are discussed in this review. The clinical research to identify effective biologic targets and treatment combinations in malignant mesothelioma is ongoing.

Historical records suggests that this community was later forcibly converted to Christianity by the Portuguese in Goa during the Sixteenth Century. Till date, no genetic study was done on this group to infer their origin and genetic affinity. Hence, we analysed 110 Roman Catholics from three different locations of West Coast of India including Goa, Kumta and Mangalore using both uniparental and autosomal markers to understand their genetic history. We found that the Roman Catholicss predominant in groups with higher ancestral North Indian (ANI) component. Therefore, we conclude that the Roman Catholics of Goa, Kumta and Mangalore regions are the remnants of very early lineages of Brahmin community of India, having Indo-Europeans genetic affinity along with cryptic Jewish admixture, which needs to be explored further.

Gastric and gastroesophageal junction (GEJ) cancers represent the third leading cause of malignancy-associated death worldwide. Approximately 15-20% of these adenocarcinomas overexpress the human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2), a pro-proliferative receptor tyrosine kinase that has been therapeutically exploited in other disease contexts. The landmark ToGA trial demonstrated that trastuzumab, an anti-HER2 antibody, could improve overall survival for patients with HER2 overexpressing advanced gastric and GEJ adenocarcinomas. In the ensuing decade, great effort has been made to refine and expand this therapeutic strategy through a variety of avenues including optimization of chemotherapy backbones, identifying potential synergy with immune checkpoint inhibition, deployment of alternative HER2-targeted antibodies, use of small molecule inhibitors, and development of HER2-directed antibody drug conjugates. While the results of these efforts have had variable success, they have led to a greater understvely.
