U.S. relations with China
From tech to spying to involvement in world wars, relations between the United States and China are tense at best. It started when the Chinese spy balloon floated over the entirety of the US delaying an important bilateral meaning between China and U.S. President Joe Biden has also signed a bill forcing the sale of Chinese social media company TikTok. This comes as Biden is also implementing tariffs and sanctions against China to slow their access to technology such as semiconductors. During Blinken's latest meeting in Beijing, Chinese President Xi Jinping said Washington needs to look at China's development "in a positive light" in order for bilateral relations to improve. At the height of this is opposing views on wars in the middle east. China has cozied up to Iran who backs Palestine and helps fund Hamas. Meanwhile, the US is flip flopping between sending tax payer’s dollars to funding israel and aid packages for Gaza. But the US also approved as a part of their massive foreign aid bill $61 Billion is going to Ukraine. While China has allied with Russia developing a close relationship with president Vladimir Putin who just celebrated his inauguration.
