Prisoners have no rights
Can you imagine having fish for dinner that’s not fit for human consumption or being forced to act as your own dentist and physician because there’s no one else to help? This is the daily reality for inmates in US prisons. Host John Kirakou, an ex-inmate, and Shawn McDonald, a prison reform advocate, discuss the precarious and inhumane conditions prisoners endure every day. They highlight the lack of education and rehabilitation opportunities, leaving inmates with no hope for the future. Upon release, they often receive nothing more than a bus ticket and twenty dollars, perpetuating a cycle of reoffending and despair.
