There will be no "pandemic amnesty" in China as lockdown protesters crowd the streets.

China's egregious anti-viral measures are beginning to challenge the ruling Communist Party. Police are struggling to disburse thousands of demonstrators in several cities who are calling for Xi Jiping to step down and an end to one-party rule and lockdowns. In the video you can hear chanting, "Xi Jinping! Step down! CCP! Step down!"

In October, Xi awarded himself a third five-year term as leader of the ruling party. Many are expecting him to attempt to hold this position for life.
