The foundation for much, if not all, of the monster state today came directly from Alexander Hamilton. Twisted definitions of necessary and proper and general Welfare, the central bank, and more. These are just some of the worst Hamiltonian views - some we already live under, while others will hopefully never see the light of day.
Hamilton's central bank was nothing like today's central bank... the Federal Reserve System. It was a government national bank which provided standardized currency 100% redeemable in gold and silver for honest trade. The national bank was good for all Americans in its day as it created equal opportunity for people willing to produce. Thomas Jefferson and James Madison backed the second national bank because it actually worked against the British Empire who waged the war of 1812. We should be so fortunate to have a government national bank today. The Federal Reserve System we put up with today is privately owned by foreign individuals with sovereign immunity (aristocrats), not backed by gold and silver, and it is impossible to even audit it... let alone arrest the criminals who own it.
Even with my limited understanding of Hamilton in the early 1980s, I did not like the guy (Hamilton). His love of a Central Bank and his disdain for the common man were enough for me to name, in my 1983 novel, a nefarious group of Globalists, the "Hamilton Club." This was for the science fiction novel, "Touch the Stars: Emergence," co-authored with the late John Dalmas. The Hamilton Club conspired to establish an international oligarchy of the brightest minds to control all of humanity from the top down. They met their match with Apache aerospace industrialist, Jason Roanhorse, whose company discovered faster-than-light capabilities, making interstellar flight suddenly a reality.
John Dalmas didn't want to use the name, because he thought of Hamilton as one of the good guys. I was able to convince him to leave the name alone. And this video adds even more reasons. Thank you!
