These protests have not only targeted the country but also its people, and the vitriol being spewed is specifically aimed at Jews. Reports have surfaced of Jewish students being verbally and physically attacked, with one graduate student at Columbia University claiming she was called a “Zionist b****” and a “genocidal b****” simply for wearing an Israeli flag.

This is not a new phenomenon. Anti-Semitism has been present for centuries, and its ugly head is now making itself known on the streets of America. It is not just Israelis or Jews who are being targeted, but anyone who supports them. Even a simple walk down the street can result in physical and verbal assaults for those showing any support for Israel. During an Earth Day event with President Joe Biden, Ocasio-Cortez praised the student-led protests on campuses like Columbia, Yale, and Berkeley, claiming they are shaping the country.
But in reality, these protests are anything but peaceful. As the ugliness continues to spread, Columbia announced that classes would be hybrid for the rest of the semester due to safety concerns. This is a clear acknowledgment of the unsafe nature of these protests and the danger they pose to Jewish students.
