The CDC Voted To Add COVID-19 mRNA Shots To The Childhood Vaccination Schedule
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices met with vaccine advisors to vote on adding the COVID-19 mRNA shot to the Vaccines for Kids program. The vote to add the experimental shot was unanimous.
Florida Surgeon General, Dr. Joseph Ladapo, tweeted this in response:
"Regardless of what @CDCgov votes tomorrow on whether COVID-19 vax are added to routine child immunizations - nothing changes in FL.
Thanks to @GovRonDeSantis, COVID mandates are NOT allowed in FL, NOT pushed into schools, & I continue to recommend against them for healthy kids."
While many parents may be concerned regarding this decision, it's important to know your states laws on immunization as it pertains to admissions into public schools. Most states allow for an easily obtainable "religious exemption" form. This can be obtained at the local health department and should not require specific reasons for the application.
