A new antitrust lawsuit reveals that, by March 2020, a partnership was created called the Trusted News Initiative (TNI), bringing together Big Tech platforms and legacy media to crush and delegitimize independent journalists by removing them from social media. This collusive partnership included social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn, as well as media outlets like the British Broadcasting Company (BBC), The Washington Post, the Associated Press, Reuters, and the Financial Times.
