More than 34,000 people have been killed there since the start of hostilities on October 7, 2023, and more than 90 percent of those deaths have been civilians. The Israeli military has used a very heavy hand, even by Israeli military standards, destroying hospitals, churches, mosques, apartment blocks, and literally everything else in its path.
