Fauci Pushes Vaccine Marketing For Children
Antony Fauci made an appearance on Good Morning America Thursday, encouraging parents to vaccinate their children in order to prevent "avoidable" serious illness or hospitalization due to COVID-19.
Fauci admitted that the number of children getting seriously ill from COVID-19 remains very low. He also noted, "We vaccinate children for a number of childhood diseases, where the mortality of those diseases is far less than the mortality and the morbidity of COVID-19 on children."
When asked what the 'magic number' is the health community would like to see of a vaccinated population, Fauci responded, "You get as many children and as many adults as you possibly can."
In October of 2021, U.S. Food and Drug Administration authorized the emergency use of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine for the prevention of COVID-19 to include children 5 through 11 years of age. Authorization is currently underway for children age 6 months to under 5 years old, and vaccines for children age 6 months and up may be authorized next.
