When asked if the bank accounts of individuals who donated to the Freedom Convoy would be frozen, Deputy PM Chrystia Freeland had this to say, "The names of both individuals and entities as well as crypto wallets have been shared by the RCMP with financial institutions and accounts have been frozen and more accounts will be frozen."

On Thursdays she tweeted this promise "On Monday, Cabinet invoked the Emergencies Act to restore public order. The consequences are real. The measures we put in place are being used, they are having an impact, and they will have a growing impact in the days to come."
