Introduction to Kids in Renewal – Free Downloadable Curriculum by Bill and Sue Dupley

From 1994 to 2000, Susan and I conducted Kids in Renewal meetings at Catch the Fire Toronto. These meetings were designed to facilitate the impartation of the Father's blessing to children.They were taught the values and experiences below:

2. How to hear the voice of God.
3. How to prophesy.
4. How to know their heavenly Father's heart.
5. How to be the light of the world.
As a result of these renewal meetings, we wrote a Sunday school program called Kids In Renewal that contains five messages that cover these five topics.

The Kids in Renewal program was published by Strang Communications and sold all over North America. Kids in Renewal is now out of print; however, we'd like to make this available to anyone who would like to use it as a program at their Sunday school.

Kids in Renewal can be used as a:
• Short Sunday school special series.
• The lessons can also be used for outreaches in a community.
• It is also excellent for a Vacation Bible School.

Your Heart Is Incomplete Without Me - Journaling Prayer by LaWanda

LaWanda – O precious Jesus, my Lord and my God! I praise you, Lord. Will you inhabit my praises, Lord? Your Word says that you do. My heart cries out for you to come, Lord Jesus. I exalt you, Lord, precious Savior, Mighty King. I praise you, Lord, and I thank you that you are near to me even in this moment. I thank you for your lovingkindness, continually poured out on me. I need nothing else, Lord. You and you alone.

I see you today, Lord, touching my eyes, my ears and my heart. You are physically touching them, Lord, to heal them. HALLELUJAH! But there is more than just the physical healing that is happening. You are opening my spiritual sight that I might see like you see. You are opening my spiritual ears so that I can hear your voice in deeper ways. And you are opening my heart that I might feel love and compassion like you do, to understand things I simply cannot in the natural. Thank you, Jesus. Help me to keep my eyes and ears and heart tuned toward your voice. Help me to keep my eyes and ears on you, and you alone, Lord. And help me, Jesus, to keep my heart soft, pliable and open to your touch.
Jesus – LaWanda, My dear one, My precious, precious one. I love it, LaWanda, that your heart is turned toward Me, that every beat is calling for Me to come and take over, that you are inviting Me to enthrone Myself there. I love it because if I am enthroned there, you cannot be. You cannot think these thoughts of adoration or sing those words of praise without a response from heaven. ♪♪ Be enthroned upon the praises of a thousand generations, You are worthy, Lord of ALL. ♪♪ From the very first chorus, I have come, LaWanda. Your heart is incomplete without Me. This has always been the case but it is even more so when you are Mine. Now that you are communing with Me on a deeper level, you absolutely KNOW it and will not settle for anything less than My presence – for anything less than Me making My habitation within you. And so I have come to abide with you.

O precious one, you live and move and have your being in Me. How could it be any other way? The only way this happens is if I am abiding in you. From the moment you said, “Yes,” I came. And while there have been times you have been oblivious to My presence, that does not mean that I was not there. For I came not to visit. I came to take over. Complete and total surrender is what is required, dear one. Complete and total surrender. But remember…with Me…surrender is always the beginning, not the end. ♪♪ Be enthroned upon the praises of a thousand generations, You are worthy, Lord of ALL. ♪♪ Yes, dear one, I hear you singing and I am worthy indeed.

How to Overcome Your Trouble Seeing and Hearing God: Connect in His Language by Dr. Patty Sadallah

Dr. Patty Sadallah has offered us some great examples of simple "training wheels" for identifying and using the eyes and ears of our hearts. Below are excerpts from Patty’s full article (with a few inserts from Dr. Mark Virkler).
• The eyes of our hearts allow us to see pictures on the screen inside our minds.
• The ears of our hearts allow us to hear the inner dialogue that takes place in our heads.

To surrender your spiritual senses to allow God to communicate with you is to sanctify your imagination. The degree of clarity of seeing and hearing you experience in these exercises is similar to those when you encounter Jesus in journaling. It’s totally normal! The more you do, the more you can. Practice will increase your ability.

Heart Faculties Do Function Easily and Normally: Three Simple Tests to Prove it
1. Eyes: Your kitchen sink and refrigerator: Let’s practice using these spiritual senses right now. Here are three simple tests to prove how normal it is for you to use the senses of your heart. First, close your eyes and imagine your kitchen. Look around the screen of your mind. Walk up to your sink and turn it on. Touch the water, feel the temperature of the water, and then shut it off. And then go over to your fridge and open it. Do you feel the blast of cold? Examine the contents of your fridge. Were you able to do that? You just used the eyes of your heart. When Jesus is giving you visions, it is the same inner experience, other than the visions are being prompted by the flow of His Spirit within, and not me painting a picture for you to look at. Don’t miss how simple vision is by making it something harder than this!

2. Ears: Now close your eyes and sing Happy Birthday in your mind. Could you hear yourself singing in your mind? You just used the ears of your heart. When Jesus is speaking to your heart it is the same inner experience, except He is talking. A big reason people miss hearing His voice is that they make it harder or different than this experience.

3. Guided images: Now, this time, keep your eyes open. Imagine that you are holding an orange. Is the skin thick or thin? OK. Now, imagine that you are cutting the orange in half, and putting the orange up to your nose, do you smell it? Now squeeze the orange and touch a bit of juice to your tongue in your imagination. If you were able to experience any of these senses, you were able to surrender your imagination to my suggestion. Connecting with God is no different; you are simply inviting God to engage with you through those senses.

In two-way journaling, you are asking Jesus to show you things using the eyes of your heart and speak to you through the ears of your heart. The Holy Spirit who is joined to your spirit (1 Cor. 6:17) fills these senses with revelation from Jesus.

Overcoming doubt
Hearing and seeing by the spirit is so simple and easy and normal that we are tempted to doubt it and say, “It’s just me.” This is where faith in the promises comes in.

The Lord answered this question in Patty Sadallah’s journaling:
When you call on My name, do you expect Me or a demon to answer? Let Me tell you the Truth. No demon would dare answer My call. Be careful what you expect. Your expectations reveal your true heart. If you don’t believe that I can or will answer you, you will not be able to connect with Me. Not because I am not answering, but because you don’t believe that I am answering. Confess and repent for this unbelief and welcome Me to answer. Watch what I will do!

The more you do, the more you can. Practice will increase your ability.

Use this spiritual home base to meet Jesus regularly and He will always be there to communicate, heal, direct, and comfort you as needed. Building memories with Him in your special place is a faith propeller that will transform you into your Christ Identity.

If you believe it is just your mind speaking back to you and not Jesus: Bind the demons of doubt and unbelief and rebuke them in Jesus' name and state your confession that you are a believer. You believe the Bible works in you. You are a sheep and Jesus promised that His sheep hear His voice. So you hear Jesus’ voice, period. Fear, doubt, and unbelief be gone in Jesus' name! I am a believer!
