Reps. Jamaal Bowman (D-N.Y.) and Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) had an intense exchange in the hallways of the Capitol building Wednesday evening, two days after the deadly shooting in Nashville, Tennessee.
The confrontation began when Bowman, a former teacher and middle school principal, went on a heated diatribe. âTheyâre cowards! Theyâre all cowards! They wonât do anything to save the lives of our children at all!â Bowman shouted, referring to GOP lawmakers.
Massie later told Bowman, âYou know, thereâs never been a school shooting in a school that allows teachers to carry.â
