The "Project for the New American Century" which they called it at the time, was to use 9/11 as the pretext to destroy and take control over 7 middle eastern countries in 5 yrs. All they needed was the "catastrophic event perpetrated by Islamic extremists" which we know full well who trains and finances them all over the Middle East.
