What? Why (we?) say/think (whomever) is up, looking down, because it is valid for related mourner's, etc to feel encouraged, faithful, misc (you know). This is the first, foremost and longest of two test period's, prior unto the first and biggest of two Judgment Day's. Hence it is the longest. Listen, why does humanity continue has they have for age's, even with Adam and Eve, to give that fool (to say the least) - Lucifer and audience and something to laugh at/about? That fool doesn't deserve an audience, ever, of any kind. That fool was (SUPPOSE TO) be in obedience, misc as that of or like the other (good) Angel's (you know what I mean).

What is Divine Providence?
Providence in general, or foresight, is a function of the virtue of prudence, and may be defined as the practical reason, adapting means to an end. As applied to God, Providence is God Himself considered in that act by which, in His wisdom, He so orders all events within the universe, that the end for which it was created may be realized. That end is that all creatures should manifest the glory of God, and in particular that man should glorify Him, recognizing in nature the work of His hand, serving Him in obedience and love, and thereby attaining to the full development of his nature and to eternal happiness in God.

Have You Built a Home for Jesus So Miracles Can Be Commonplace?

The Shunammite woman made a room for the man of God to stay in when he passed by. One result was that she experienced two amazing miracles. We can do the same! Here is her story.
________________________________________
• "This is a holy man of God, who passes by us regularly. Please, let us make a small upper room on the wall; and let us put a bed for him there, and a table and a chair and a lampstand; so it will be, whenever he comes to us, he can turn in there." (2 Kings 4:9-10 NKJV)

• The Shunammite woman made a place for the man of God to stay, and by doing so received two miracles. First, the birth of her son in her old age and second, the resurrection of her son when he suddenly died. Read these stories in 2 Kings 4:9-37.

When we make a room for God, we too will experience miracles. This means making room for the Father, Son and Holy Spirit to be present to minister miracles and healings. Jesus specifically tells us what we need to do to make a home for Him so He can be present with us.

"If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him" (Jn 14:23).
The result will be that the Holy Spirit will be present to provide everything we need (Jn. 14:26; Gal. 5:22-25; 1 Cor. 12:7-11).

How can I build a home for God to dwell in?

What steps would I take to make a home for the Father, Son and Holy Spirit to dwell in so that when I needed a miracle, it would be readily available?
1. Loving obedience: "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word" (Jn. 14:23). We begin our home for Jesus by loving Him and obeying His words. Obviously that means knowing His words also. So reading through the Gospels and the entire Bible several times are key.
2. Praising Him: "You who are enthroned upon the praises of Israel" (Ps. 22:3). When we worship and celebrate the Lord, He comes and fills our worship with His manifest presence. We can feel and sense this. We feel His Spirit energizing us, removing heaviness, gloom and depression. I love throne room worship, where I am in His presence seeing Him, celebrating Him and kneeling before Him.
3. Believing: "He who comes to God MUST believe" (Heb.11:6). We believe that "every good gift is from above" (Jas. 1:17). I need to believe that God is good and God is for me. He is on my side, strengthening me, not judging me or putting me down. Even the woman caught in adultery, Jesus didn't put down. He simply freed her by saying "Go." And He followed this up with the instruction "sin no more" (Jn. 8:11). This worship song will help convince you God is good.
4. Passionate Desire: "Earnestly desire spiritual gifts" (1 Cor. 14:1). This step instructs me to get passionate about seeking healing and miracles and words of wisdom and knowledge. I am not just open to operating in spiritual gifts. I am passionate that I WILL operate in the nine-fold manifestation of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 12:7-11). Passion brings breakthrough. Passion brings results. Luke-warmness gets me nowhere (Rev. 3:16). So get passionate! Go after spiritual gifts.
5. Asking: "You do not have because you do not ask" (Jn. 16:24; Jas. 4:2). There is no reason not to ask for healing and miracles. I offered to lay hands on one person who was in pain, and they withdrew in fear. I assume they had been taught that Jesus no longer does this, and their church didn't lay hands on and pray for healing. One gentleman came to me in a seminar and asked me to pray for the arthritis in his knees and so I did, and then told him to do a Jericho march around the church. He came back five minutes later and told me all pain was gone. His faith, request and action were rewarded by God’s healing power.
6. Listening and yielding: "I can do nothing on My own initiative. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is just, because I do not seek My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me" (Jn. 5:30). "He who sent Me is with Me; He has not left Me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to Him" (Jn. 8:29). So I picture Jesus at my right side (Acts 2:25), and I ask for His input, and I tune to flow and honor the flowing thoughts, pictures and emotions which I receive, for they are coming from the River of God which flows within me (Jn. 7:37-39). Acting on His words of wisdom and knowledge releases His healing power.
7. Loving all: "When you stand praying, forgive if you have anything against anyone" (Mk. 11:23-25). Forgiving everything against everyone is probably the biggest key to getting healed. One woman's hip was instantly healed when she forgave the horse who had fallen on her and damaged her hip. So it looks like we need to forgive animals and events, as well as people. Of course we need to forgive ourselves, and ask God’s forgiveness if we have been blaming Him for allowing the event to happen that precipitated the infirmity. We listen to His instruction for steps to take.

Lord, have I built a home for You to dwell in with me? Are there further steps in constructing this home for You that You would have me take?

Walt Whitman and James Otis, Jr. were right. We need less unquestioning obedience and more refusal to cooperate.

When government goes beyond its just limits, the founders held that the people are not bound to “yield obedience.” From Patrick Henry in 1765 to Thomas Jefferson in 1798 this position was repeated over and over. But it didn’t start with the Constitution, or the Revolution.

Choose God's Will

March 03, 2024
by Pastor Chuck Swindoll
Scriptures: Job 42:10–17
Job lived 140 years after that, living to see four generations of his children and grandchildren. Then he died, an old man who had lived a long, full life. (Job 42:16–17)
A major goal of wholesome, healthy Christians is the hope of reaching maturity before death overtakes us. I will tell you without hesitation that one of my major goals in life is to grow up as I grow older. A commendable etching on a gravestone would be: "Here lies a man who kept growing as he kept aging." Growing up and growing old need to walk hand in hand. Never doubt it: maturing is a slow, arduous process. Job accomplished it; he reached that goal. Small wonder we read that he died an old man and full of days. He lived the rest of his 140 years full of enthusiasm and passion. What an enviable way to finish life.

When trouble comes we have two options. We can view it as an intrusion, an outrage, or we can see it as an opportunity to respond in specific obedience to God's will—that rugged virtue James calls "endurance."

Endurance is not jaw-clenched resignation, nor is it passive acquiescence. It's "a long obedience in the same direction." It's staying on the path of obedience despite counter-indications. It's a dogged determination to pursue holiness when the conditions of holiness are not favorable. It's a choice in the midst of our suffering to do what God has asked us to do, whatever it is, and for as long as He asks us to do it. As Oswald Chambers wrote, "To choose suffering makes no sense at all; to choose God's will in the midst of our suffering makes all the sense in the world."

Where are you today? Where is your journey leading you? More important, which option have you chosen? Are you viewing your trial as an outrage or an opportunity? Try hard not to forget the lessons Job teaches us about ourselves. It will make an enormous difference. As you grow older, keep growing up. And, instead of simply reading about the life of Job, begin living that kind of life.

That makes all the sense in the world, doesn't it?

Follow in Obedience

February 22, 2024
by Pastor Chuck Swindoll
Scriptures: Job 40:1-5
Job's response prompts me to think of what this says to our twenty-first-century world. What needed messages it offers to our times!

The first: If God's ways are higher than mine, then I bow before Him in submission. The result of that attitude is true humility. Submission to the Father's will is the mark of genuine humility. And all of us could use a huge dose of that. How unusual to find a humble spirit in our day, especially among the competent, the highly intelligent, the successful.

Here's the second: If God is in full control, then however He directs my steps, I follow in obedience. What relief that brings! Finally, I can relax, since I'm not in charge.

I was speaking at a pastors' conference at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago not long ago. The most vivid memory of that conference was the large sign up front. It was hung above the platform for all in attendance to read each time we came together. In big, bold letters it read:

Relax Everybody, for Once You're Not in Charge.

The auditorium was full of pastors—fifteen hundred in all! And each one of us is usually in charge (we think), only to show up at this conference and be reminded to relax—we're not in charge. It was an encouraging relief for everybody in attendance.

That's the sign God stretched in front of Job. "You're not in charge of anything, Job; this is My responsibility. You're my servant; I'm your Master. I know what I'm doing." Since God knows what He's doing, however He directs my steps, I simply follow. What an encouraging relief that should bring!

What do you feel about letting God control your life—relief, frustration, panic? What can you do to help yourself relax in His control?
