Scriptures: Exodus 12:29–30; Psalm 105:26–38
The LORD brought his people out of Egypt, loaded with silver and gold; and not one among the tribes of Israel even stumbled. Egypt was glad when they were gone, for they feared them greatly. (Psalm 105:37–38)
Isn't that great? Rather than sadness and fear, there was exhilaration that night. The sweet fragrance of freedom was in the wind. We love to sing the hymn, "O for a thousand tongues to sing my great Redeemer's praise." If you think that sounds good, how about, "O for two million tongues to sing!" You could hear those voices echo far away into the distant reaches of the empty desert as Moses led the way, and the joyous throng followed. Great clouds of dust billowed as Jacob's children walked out of Egypt, walked out of their chains, and away from their bondage.
Just think of that day or night when you came to know the Lord Jesus as your Savior. Can you recapture the emotions of that moment? Remember when that friend gave you the Good News about God's provision for sin and His offer of eternal life? Remember when you realized it was really for you? Remember when that pastor or teacher explained the gospel, and for the first time, it really made sense? Remember when your dad or mom sat down with you in your bedroom and explained the truth about sin and Christ and eternity, and you said, "Tonight's the night"?
Was that a harsh, hard experience? Admittedly, you left all the familiar things of Egypt behind you, but don't forget you also left your chains! You left your years of slavery to sin's domination, and then you began to taste God's provision. You began to drink from the deep wells of His grace. Nothing ever tasted so sweet and so refreshing.
It's not over, friend. There's more out there. His plan goes a lot deeper than getting you out of Egypt. Getting you into His family was Plan A. Getting you into His will, for your whole life—that's Plan B. And maybe that's where you are as you read these words. You find yourself about to step into unknown territory and follow God where you have never been before. Looking at it through the eyes of the ancient Hebrews, you're about to make history. Good for you!
Wow. Just finished watching the series, "The Crowded Room" (2023) on Apple TV. Tom Holland is phenomenal as "Danny," a young man with serious emotional issues. Amanda Seyfried plays the role of a therapist (but not so great mom) determined to help, and Emmy Rossum ("Shameless") is marvelous as Danny's emotionally impaired mother.
Almost never, do I see psychological material handled so accurately and expertly. Created by Akiva Goldsman (A Beautiful Mind), we're shown a deep, seldom observed understanding of how early childhood trauma can fragment the psyche, and cause irreparable damage.
Can't say more, 'cause I'd spoil it for ya... but suffice it to say, this story (based on true events) is BRILLIANTLY written. For me, a rare find~ and SO worth the binge!

SMALL BUSINESS MADE AMERICA, FROM THE BEGINNING,, THATS WHY BIG STORES WERE OPEN DURING THE FAKE LIAR HOAX OF COVID,,,LIFE IN PRISON FOR THOSE BIG BUSINESS LIBERAL DERANGEMENT Dem Congressman Confesses ‘We [Democrats] Don’t Want’ Small Businesses …
In Case You Missed It … This is how the Democrats view American small businesses .. they don’t want us around & one rep even admitted it …
Democratic Rep Ro Khanna told Anchor Abby Phillip of CNN’s “Inside Politics”:
“I know that you feel very strongly like many progressives about the minimum wage issue. Right now, at the same time, businesses, both large and small, are struggling in this pandemic economy, more than 9 million jobs have been lost in the last year, and they still aren’t back, and the problem is particularly acute in industries like retail and foodservice, which are more likely to pay minimum wage.”
“I think the question that a lot of Republicans are posing and perhaps some moderate Democrats is timing. Is now the right time to increase it to $15? I should say the bill has stages, of course, but immediately it would go up about 30% right now. Is now the right time to do that?”
“Abby, it’s absolutely the right time to give working Americans a raise. Let’s look at the facts. Amazon raised their wage to $15 nationally, not regionally. They have more jobs today. It didn’t hurt job creation or business. Target followed. They also did it nationally, more jobs.”
You have got to be kidding me, AMAZON? Amazon increased jobs because you made it ILLEGAL for their competition to open. Now THAT is FASCISM as defined by Mussolini. Perhaps we should talk about all the other perks Congress and the USG has given Amazon.
In essence, Khanna and the Democrats promoting the minimum wage of $15 dollars an hour are murdering the American dream of owning your own business. Sure, Amazon can afford to pay $15 but look at how they can afford to do it. During the pandemic, people were not free to go out and shop, so they started ordering everything online. And when the $15 minimum wage closes all the mom and pop shops, the big boys will increase their business.
No longer will someone be able to open a small diner or a coffee shop if they are saddled with a $15 dollar minimum wage. And will the big companies continue to pay such high wages or will they turn to automation? Case in point. Two Walmart Neighborhood Markets near me closed all of their checkout lines. They installed a dozen small self-checkout stations. How many jobs will that cost nationwide?

Dianne Feinstein’s Daughter Says Her Mother Being Denied Distributions From Trustees
Chelsea Betonie August 17, 2023 in News - 2 Minutes
Katherine Feinstein, the daughter of California Senator Dianne Feinstein, has recently filed a court document alleging that her mother is a victim of elder abuse.
According to Katherine, the co-trustees of a trust associated with the late husband of Senator Richard Blum have failed to fulfil their obligation to fund the trust set up by Mr. Blum.
The late Herbert Blum, who passed away in February of last year, was estimated to be worth one billion dollars at the time of his death.
Recent reports from SF Gate indicate that on August 8th, Senator Feinstein’s daughter went to court alleging that those responsible for managing the fund have failed to make “required distributions” to her mother, whom she recently granted a partial power of attorney.
Katherine Feinstein has filed a court complaint alleging that Michael Klein, Marc Scholvinck, and Verett Mims have committed financial elder abuse by deliberately withholding regular payments from her mother’s fund in the hopes of seeing most of it eventually go to Blum’s children.
The senator has been identified as the sole beneficiary of Blum’s fund by a judge. Katherine was only a teenager when her mother married the wealthy investor, and she subsequently asked for Klein, Scholvinck, and Mims to be suspended from managing the account.

An attorney for Klein and Scholvinck filed a motion on Aug. 10 in which he disputed Katherine’s claims of elder abuse.
“The trustees have acted ethically and appropriately at all times; the same cannot be said for Katherine Feinstein,” attorney Steven Braccini said.
According to SF Gate, Braccini voiced serious concern over Katherine’s allegation of elder abuse towards Sen. Feinstein, accusing her of working for her own self-gain.
The situation has been further compounded by the calls for the senator, who is 90 and the country’s longest-serving senator, to step down due to health concerns after an absence from February until May.
Earlier this year, Senate Democrats found themselves facing a challenge when both Senator Dianne Feinstein of California and Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania were absent due to hospitalization for depression.
