George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley expressed disbelief at the opening statements of the trial led by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. Turley, along with many others, were stunned that the trial was even taking place, let alone the serious accusations brought forth against former President Donald Trump. The trial revolves around a 34-count indictment accusing Trump of falsifying business records in an effort to cover up an alleged hush money payment to former porn actress Stormy Daniels. Trump’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen, is accused of paying Daniels $130,000 to keep an alleged extramarital affair with Trump secret just before the 2016 presidential election.

Turley pointed out that Trump may have a valid point in this case. He remarked that the fact that this case is being presented in a New York courtroom is an embarrassment. He also brought attention to the fact that the case involves a misdemeanor that has long since expired, but has been resurrected with a new campaign finance violation allegation that does not hold up under Federal Law. Turley also mentioned that the Department of Justice does not see this as a valid case. Turley went on to compare these allegations to those against former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. Clinton’s campaign had funded the Steele Dossier, which accused the Trump campaign of colluding with Russia to win the 2016 election. Turley questioned the objectivity of those who supported this case, given their previous support for a similar questionable theory.

Commentator Fox News’ John Roberts noted that Michael Colangelo, a former U.S. Associate Attorney General under President Joe Biden, is a prosecutor in Bragg’s office. Turley saw this as further evidence that the case against Trump is coordinated and biased. He noted that any other court would have raised concerns about having a former Biden Justice Department attorney lead this case, but in New York, the only thing that seems to matter is the name of the defendant, Donald Trump.
During his opening statement, Colangelo called Trump’s actions a “long-running conspiracy” to influence the 2016 election. He accused Trump of orchestrating a criminal scheme and then covering it up by falsifying New York business records. This was followed by statements from defense attorney Todd Blanche, who maintained that Trump is innocent of all charges and that the case should not have been brought forth by the Manhattan district attorney’s office.

Judge Goes Off on Fani Willis' Assistant DA During Shouting Match

Amidst the spotlight on Fulton County, Georgia, District Attorney Fani Willis' prosecution of former President Donald Trump, it's essential to recognize the broader scope of cases handled by her office simultaneously.
One such case that has garnered attention is the prosecution of rapper Young Thug, accused of conspiracy to violate Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, along with "criminal street gang activity" and drug and gun charges — charges akin to those faced by Trump under the same act.

While Assistant District Attorney Adriane Love, the lead prosecutor on Young Thug's case, sought to introduce certain evidence, Judge Ural Glanville intervened, siding with the defense's objections, as reported by Newsweek.
Newsweek detailed Glanville's response to Love's frustrations: “Well then you all should have gotten yourself together beforehand,” Glanville remarked before proceeding to summon the jury. Addressing Love, he instructed her to exclude the evidence and emphasized the importance of being prepared for future proceedings

The exchange between Glanville and Love underscored procedural disagreements and the judge's insistence on prior preparation to avoid courtroom disruptions.
In a previous instance, Glanville had also reprimanded defense attorney Max Schardt for a late motion related to excluding a prosecution's PowerPoint presentation as evidence.

They say there are way too many people having way too many babies, and we have to drastically cut back on the number of people on the planet. They have a whole agency dedicated to this called the UN Population Fund.”

One sure fire way to kill a lot of people in a short amount of time is war. Newman says, “They have understood, the globalists, the Deep State, the evil doers and the sick cabal, have understood for a very long time that war was the best mechanism for bringing about their totalitarian one world government. This is not speculation on my part. This is what they say. Their game plan is war, famine, energy crisis and economic crisis. These are all tools and catalysts for accelerating this agenda. If millions of people die in a third world war, and it does not matter if it is Iran and Israel, or China and Tiawan, or Ukraine and Russia, it really does not matter, they want millions and millions of people dead so people will give up their attachment to the nation state, self-government and individual liberty and give up anything, money or freedom, anything to make it stop.”

Don’t lose hope because Newman also talks about all the things you can do to not comply with tyranny. Newman also points out what state and local governments can do and are doing to resist this UN total control of everything. Newman says, “We are at war, and everyone needs to put on the full armor of God.”
