“I was willing to go through this case and potentially lose my license forever because the case at heart is about the doctor-patient relationship and whether doctors and patients will be allowed in the future to decide on the care of the patient or whether there will be intrusions by the federal government,” Dr. Meryl Nass told #CHDTV.

The COVID crisis rapidly increased the erosion of the doctor-patient relationship. Dr. Nass believes that the need for doctors will disappear if we don’t stop the government overreach now by winning cases like hers.

“If doctors don’t have the ability to treat patients individually, there’s no need to have doctors,” warned Dr. Nass. 

“If you want to be able to access a doctor who has the right to treat you the way you want to be treated, this case is really important.”

Maurice Mouille was a happy, healthy kindergartener when he went to the doctor to receive a single flu shot. Maurice’s mother, Michelle, had been told since the boy had asthma, the flu shot would help prevent more serious illness when Maurice got sick.


At first, Maurice developed a fever, which Michelle had been told was normal. However, she couldn’t fight the gnawing feeling that something wasn’t right. Maurice felt lethargic and unwell. Michelle put her son in bed to rest, left the room for a glass of water, and when she came back he was “stiff as a board, drooling, with his eyes rolled back into his head.” He was having the first of many seizures.


Rushing him to the hospital, Maurice was soon in the ICU + wouldn’t leave for 40 days. Michelle says, “it seemed that the more adamant I was that the flu shot caused this, the more they tried to find any reason that it wasn’t the cause.” Maurice today suffers from epilepsy and has autism. He has been completely non-verbal since his first seizure.

Within a week of her booster (3rd dose of covid vax), Nana Oleta was admitted to the hospital following a “cardiac event” where she then received Remdesivir.
