A Need

There’s a way
It’ll take you away
Take a day or two
To get there
Anyway
But most
Will just choose to stay
Too much trouble
They will say

A flower stands in the sun
Doesn’t even bother
Is the moon made of stone
Will it wake up the tomb
At noon when you take your nap
Will this prevent a heart attack
What is it that you lack
That you don’t already have
Why do we still want after we get what we got
What was that
Can’t remember
I forgot
Have very little
Even when you have a lot
Watch the poor child play
Happily
Wonder
Why don’t we
What is it we can’t see
Are we what we want to be
or just something somebody else can see

Plant a seed
Expect a flower
All we get is a weed
Did we plant the wrong seed
Was it greed
What if the weed is just what we need
