The Texas Military Department, consisting of the National Guard, State Guard and Air Guard, posted a photo on social media of the Gonzales "Come And Take It" flag admist the growing conflict with Federal Government.

The "Come And Take It" flag was used by Texan secessionists at the 1835 Battle of Gonzales in reference to a cannon that Mexican troops were attempting to seize.

25 states have signed a letter in support of Texas sovereign right to protect their border. Many have sent their National Guardsmen. Florida is expected to deploy their State Guard this month.

“We may do more National Guard, but we also would be willing to do the Florida State Guard, and the reason why you would want to do the State Guard is because the president would not be able to federalize the State Guard,” Florida Governor Ron Desantis said in support of Texas.
