Biden has set up a 'disinformation' board eerily similar to George Orwell's "Ministry of Truth" from 1984. The Homeland Security's Disinformation Board is headed by Nina Jankowicz, a Russian disinformation expert. Jankowicz has been pinned as anti-free speech and helped whitewash the Hunter Biden laptop scandal. She recently told NPR that she "shudders to think about" free speech on social media platforms after Elon Musk made his bid on Twitter. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas did not disclose any powers that would be granted while addressing lawmakers on Wednesday. However, he did state that the new board would come under the Biden-era Center for Prevention Programs and Partnerships and its main focus would be to stop the spread of misinformation in minority communities, including election misinformation ahead of the 2022 midterms.
