Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components

A special item can be used to evolve specific Pokemon. The Upgrade is obtained by spinning a PokeStop photo disc. It is sometimes offered as a prize in Pokemon GO events.

The Upgrade can also be put in weapons, armor trinkets, gathering tools and trinkets to increase the level of their item. The upgrade costs Flightstones and crests, depending on the item type.

Upgrade components

Insignias or enchantments, as well as prefix/suffix upgrades will be displayed in the hover display of the item while they will be added to the equipment's name (e.g. the word Radiant Insignia will change the name into Radiant Tyrian Armor). Glyphs

After a Glyph reaches the desired level, you can activate it. Select it and then click the "enchant button". The Glyph you create will provide its stated bonus, and also boost other nodes within its area on the Paragon Board. It's important to place Glyphs where they will be most beneficial to your build, and this is why it's a good idea to prioritize Magic Glyphs early on. Rare glyphs may also offer double bonuses in the event that certain conditions are satisfied.

Rerolling

However, it's important to note that not all set items are good candidates for upgradation. Certain sets, such as the FB Sorc spec Whistan's shield or Naj's puzzler staff, are already Exceptional in their own rights and don't require upgrading. Certain items, like Goldwrap and Whistan's Shield (both BiS) that are frequently used may benefit from an upgrade to boost their performance.
