The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.
He tests and evaluates cleaning equipment. His focus is on robot vacuums, and mopping combinations. These multitaskers are an excellent option for those who wish to cross mopping off the to-do list. They have impressive mapping and obstacle avoidance, and they can even wash and refill their mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
This is the model to pick if you are looking for an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than the other models on this list which makes it easier to maneuver into tight corners and underneath furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar which, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It's got a battery of 4600mAh which can last up to 170 minutes if cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It can even return to the dock to replenish its battery midway through a clean.
It's extremely fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and the hardwood floors in the living room, and hallways in a single pass. Its 8,000pa suction motor will quickly pick up dirt, droppings and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it comes in contact with carpets and the two side brushes help draw away debris from corners.
The mopping performance, though still impressive, isn't as good. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and uses 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a little more than other robots. This is helpful in tight corners or on baseboards. The front arms can also be employed to clean larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys or books.
The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tried. It is quieter and doesn't produce more noise when mopping or vacuuming. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform its mopping function and is sold separately from the vacuum. https://vuf.minagricultura.gov.co/Lists/Informacin%20Servicios%20Web/DispForm.aspx?ID=9925961 is easy to install and works well. However should you purchase this robot vacuum solely to mop it is important to be aware of this.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful machine for cleaning with a wide range of features.
The device has an impressive and powerful cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map the home and identify furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean effectively and methodically. This ensures an efficient and consistent cleaning, while also being relatively rapid.
In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can reach a wide range of surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards and other difficult to reach areas. The side brush can be stretched out to extend to the floor, close to the walls or other fixtures. https://search.grainger.illinois.edu/searchaidlog3/sourcelognew.asp?ID=782151&goog--https://www.robotvacuummops.uk/ are also washable and can be dried to eliminate odors and stop buildup.
App-based customization is a different interesting feature. The Q Revo lets you adjust the strength of suction and select between a back-andforth, or a more random patterns. You can also select the number of passes which will determine how quickly it can move around your home. You can even choose to disable the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and rugs.
The device is costly, but it comes with a lot of smart features. It is important to keep in mind, however, that the device will incur periodic costs in the form of mopping supplies as well as regular maintenance. For example, the brushroll will need to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter is to be cleaned every 150 hours, and mop pads should be replaced every one to three month.
The robot vacuum mop has a high Amazon rating and includes an array of physical automation features. The vacuum also has an power button that doubles as a 'Clean' button' as well as a 'Home' button to send it home after cleaning. It also comes with a multifunctional dock which automatically empty the trash bin, fills up its water tank, and wash and drys its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
The Shark Matrix Plus will be the ideal option for busy professionals or anyone who wants to keep their home tidy without spending too much time doing chores. It has powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and long battery life that allows you to keep your home tidy with little effort.
The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, that is, it can do mopping and vacuuming. The robot comes with two modules: a combined dry bin and water reservoir, and a separate mopping unit with microfiber pads that snap in and out of place. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may appear a bit dated, but they do mean you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refueling the tank with water.
The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming as well as mopping. Its most impressive feature was its accurate floorplan, which it uses to draw an outline for cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate through rugs, furniture and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' or virtual barriers that prevent certain areas from being cleaned by a mop.
We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well at picking up hair from pets. It was able to capture the majority of hair that shed by our cats and even found its way into the nooks and crannies of our stairs while other robots struggled. The noise levels of the robot were low and there were nice jingles to let you know that it was starting and finishing its work.
The app was too basic and you had to alter the modules every time you changed between mops and vacuuming. The app isn't able to store multiple maps, which could be a problem if you have a home with multiple floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those looking for an intelligent robot that is capable of mopping and vacuuming.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, but it comes with some distinct features that are worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its enormous dock which serves as the robot's charging base as well as housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a cleaning sink, and an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically eliminates.
The base also has a number of buttons to control the system. These let you manually start cleaning and then recall the robot or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are concerned about their children playing with the vacuum.
Similar to other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more precise at recognizing objects.
The X1 can be prone to get stuck if it gets caught in a hazard, such as a power cable tangled over a rug. It won't function until you remove it manually. This was a rare incident however it was frustrating since the X1 does not have an "stuck status" alert on its app.
Another potential downside is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during a cleaning session. You will need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad aside from the fact that mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between use and can cause mildew or mold.
The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a significant departure from the utilitarian, all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing view in a market that is dominated by clunky boxes and clunky models.
