Sovereign water deeded rights are gone. 20 years ago I purchased 3 acres of raw land form the County of Riverside, I wanted to put a well on it, the water district said, go ahead, if you can get a permit, just know at times of drought we will take your water. I stated I have deeded rights to riparian use for irrigation and your water is too expensive and tastes bad and my 1200 trees and shrubs I planted don't like the chemicals in it either, EMWD (water district), said since I am in their district they can and will take my well water but will sell it back to me for my irrigation use for half price. Water districts are being sold to foreign investment companies who's soul purpose is to make a profit.
