World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

The upgrading of your equipment is a vital element of equipping your character. Upgrades increase the damage of your item and the ability to enchant.

They also provide bonuses and enhancements. They are available by contacting the Blacksmith.

Players can recycle any item by pressing the upgrade button on it. Each recycled item adds one level to the upgrade gauge.

Weapon

When a weapon gets upgraded, it gets a base damage bonus, as well as a scaling factor which affects other stats. Some upgrade components have cosmetic effects, while others offer additional attributes. These upgrades can be put into weapons, armor, trinkets, or gathering tools, and most require that the equipment have an upgrade slot available and meet certain requirements. If a weapon piece is equipped with an upgrade component it, it is able to be upgraded with a different one however the previous upgrade will be destroyed (except for legendary equipment and upgrades). Upgrade components can be found with the help of a Black-Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool, or by using a salvage tool of high-end quality on the item it self.

In addition to the basic upgrades, a weapon may be upgraded with the Calibration Attribute which improves certain stats like Weakspot Damage or Crit Rate. This is accomplished through the Gear Workbench interaction menu. This can be done four times based on the weapon level.

Once the weapon has reached max upgrade, it can be reforged using a variety of different types of upgrades to increase specific stats or to add bonuses and effects. All of these upgrades can be applied simultaneously, and their effects will differ based on how rare the weapon is.

Two Blacksmiths can perform these upgrades in the game: Blacksmith Iji on the Road to the Manor Site of Grace and Smithing Master Hewg at the Church of Elleh hub. Both upgrade materials differ: Smithing Stones to modify the damage weapons deal and Somber Smithing Stones to modify standard weapons.

Generally, it is recommended to upgrade weapon damage first, then armor defense, and finally the other secondary stats that are required by your build. Particularly, it is common to see melee druids enhancing their weapon before any other gear, because it helps maximise DPS. This is especially true for enchantments that can increase a weapon's stats as well as damage.

Armor

Item Upgrades let players enhance the base stats of certain armor pieces, weapons, trinkets and gathering tools. These upgrades can also have additional effects like increased damage or cosmetic enhancements. Item upgrades can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from NPC vendors, or in loot drops, or as rewards from quests.

The armor can be upgraded by visiting the Armorer NPC, and spending the appropriate currency. Most of the time an item of armor can be upgraded to the next level after an upgrade is applied. This can be done for all types of armor, though some items cannot be upgraded at all (such as the starter armor in Great Sky Island).

The majority of armor upgrades provide some improvement to the item's defense or strength. However, certain upgrade components can offer significant enhancements to strength or defense, especially when upgrading an epic item.

Some upgrades provide special abilities which can be activated when wearing armor. These abilities can be beneficial in combat, such as granting a buff to attack speed or blocking. Certain upgrades can have effect that are passive and can be useful, such as the ability to reduce damage while wearing armor or increasing the chance to dodge an attack.

Upgrades to armor may require several attempts, depending on the type of armor. For instance, if a player wanted to upgrade the strength of a Steelclash armor to Dragonscale The first attempt will result in a brand new piece of Dragonscale with an initial defense range of the ages of 59-67. The second attempt will result in a brand new Dragonscale armor that has an initial defense of 67-77 and so on.

Contrary to popular belief armor in The Division 2 is not in any way useless. Some armors offer a significant increase in the ability to reduce damage caused by poison spells, curses, magic or fire. This makes them very beneficial for certain builds. There are also ways to improve armor stats beyond the use of upgradeable armor, such as the engineer trait to increase armor penetration or the challenger trait to reduce total weight.

Potion

When you put a potion into the brewing stand, you can unlock new effects. The upgrade opens a different tier of potion effects, and is able to be repeated to unlock more potencies.

The potions also gain an individual color, which can be set by the player using /give. The color will affect the clouds that affect the area of effect as well as the arrows that are generated. In Bedrock Edition, the custom color of the potion also affects the effects of the particles in the potions.

The water bottle, the mundane, thick and awkward potions now have a fresh texture for brewing. Added potion of weakness and healing potion in the Creative inventory.
