Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of removing dry debris (dust, dirt) and wet messes (spills and stains) in one session without having to swap out devices. They also can save space when compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living areas.
A good combination bot must have impressive navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that automatically empty their bin, refill their water tank, and machine-wash their mopping pads using an appropriate dock.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has plenty to offer for its relatively modest price, and it's one of the easiest robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking is simple and the quick-start guide gets you up and running in no time. You'll have a a full dust bag, water tank, and a hard floor.
The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can is able to clean up a storm and is a great vacuum cleaner too. The mops are spun at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to take away pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a variety of brushes and attachments, and a user-friendly application that lets you select the kind of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.
For instance, you could opt for the robot to clean up the living and kitchen areas but take it easy in the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and smart navigation technology are superb, with the robot being capable of detecting tiny obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. Its only issue is that it is known to smash into walls and objects at a high speed. However looking at the history of cleaning in the app will show you exactly what the robot has accomplished, where it's going, and which obstacles he has run into or avoided.
A large LCD screen on the docking station shows you when maintenance tasks must be completed, such as emptying the debris tray and washing the water tank that is dirty. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank using a 600ml bottle of the eufy's solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop have plenty of run-time and the mop is capable of running for 184 minutes in Quiet mode, while the vacuum is able to do 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing to recharge or return to the base to replenish. You can also view the entire cleaning information in the app, which is intuitively laid out and easy to understand, though we would have liked to be able to distinguish between a mop only vacuum and mop clean, when examining a cleaned area in the history of cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's most popular robot mop and vacuum. The model of this year features an agitator that doubles as its mopping pad. This enhances the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has enhanced suction power, which allows it to remove small hairs and other particles that other robotic cleaners could miss.
This Roborock model, just like the other two models I tested, has infrared and reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it get around obstacles like furniture, walls, and other obstacles. https://posteezy.com/15-incredible-stats-about-robot-vacuum-cleaner-best-0 goes one step further by incorporating dual cameras that can detect objects, determining if they are walls or other surfaces. It then can automatically alter its path and clean around them without skipping a beat.
It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested and it comes with the most features. Its sleek, angular design is attractive and it only has three physical buttons which include the power button which can also restart cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock and a home button to bring the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml of water tank. The water tank will empty itself and the bin auto-filling.
The only drawback I could find in this model was the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't movable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if necessary) however, it's a hassle to take off the mount itself to wash manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and that could cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of clever features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can set up and manage these through the Roborock app that is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app lets you schedule cleanings and monitor the battery's life. You'll need to go through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering how well-performing it is otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a market leader with its innovative features, top suction power and advanced mopping capabilities. Its clever design permits customized and efficient cleaning while saving you time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to offer 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful alternatives available. This powerful vacuum cleans up dry mess, including pet hair and food particles. It also comes with a high-quality mop that leaves hard floors spotlessly clean, even without a wet pad. The X40 is also very quiet when in operation, with only occasional bursts during mode changes or self-maintenance.
The X40 also has a side brush that is able to be lifted and extended. This lets it reach into corners that are difficult to reach and clean curved furniture like table and chair legs. It also allows the robot to access furniture with a low profile which makes it a great option for apartments or condos with tight spaces. The side brush tilts automatically down when it detects wet spots. This is a great feature that allows the X40 to avoid damaging floors by excessive back-and forth movements.
Contrary to other robots which only focus on one thing, the X40 can do both vacuuming and mopping simultaneously or individually. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors, and skip carpeted areas, or vice versa. It can be controlled through the Dreame app or by using Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for a seamless voice-controlled operation.
The app is intuitive and simple to use, and the X40's smart features are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at certain times. It is also possible to alter suction power, alter modes, view maps and floor plans, and control mopping settings. The X40 will also keep track of its progress, and alert you when it's done.
The X40 is easy to keep clean and has numerous features that make it a great choice for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the dustbin into a huge 3.2 L bin, cleans the mop pads, and refills them with fresh water and cleaning solution. It can also tell when the mop pad is filled and notify you when it overflows, reducing the need for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's among the most expensive on the market, but it packs in a lot of additional features that distinguish it from. The mops are equipped with a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It utilizes two mops that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and has the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is more than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can clean pet hair and other small dirt particles - and also pick up spills and wet spots.
The mop is also dried and cleaned inside the base station after each use. This feature is great because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours from building up in the storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature we've yet to see on other robot vacuums and mop models and it could be a good method of keeping your home cleaner for longer.
There are many options, including the ability to schedule cleaning times and adjust preferences. The app lets you define these preferences, or make use of the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and has many options to customize your cleaning routine. It also has several functions that are not available on other robots, for instance the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects dust particles.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most stylish robots we've seen in the market, with metallic and white colors that looks classy and sophisticated. It's heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots in this list - at 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy, and is sturdy and well-built. The mopping design is also excellent, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors and in corners. They can even extend up to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature which is a nice feature.
