What is happening to the truckers in Canada is a warning to the truckers in the USA.

The tyrants intend it as a warning to demoralize.

Those who oppose the tyrants should understand it as a warning of what to prepare for and possible strategies to nullify the effort of the tyrants to stop the truckers.

This in one sentence is the essence of Progressivism. They believe that they know better than you how you should live your life and they believe they have the right to force you to live as they want, "for the greater good".

Some dead white guys had something to say about what is happening in theoretically free countries.

I think what we are seeing with all of these petty tyrants in Western countries is over-eagerness. They want to be tin plated dictators so badly, they can taste it and they have decided they are tired of waiting for their opportunity so they're going to just go for it. Hence the Castro wannabe in Canada threatening to kill truckers pets, the Aussies throwing people in concentration camps ... er, "quarantine facilities" ... and all of the other tyrannical actions both abroad and here in the USA.

The question is, when they jumped the shark, did they show their hand too soon - did they act to close the fist before the environment was right? Or are they going to brutally stamp out the protests and finally reverse what they consider the great mistake started in 1776 of not preventing people from having freedom?
