Best 3 Wheel Pushchairs

All-terrain pushchair that provides lightweight durability and excellent maneuverability. The compact fold with one hand makes it easy to move. It can also stand on its own when folded. The padded seat reclines to a nearly flat position, and there's an enormous storage bin and canopy. Baby suitability: Yes it comes with a carrycot (not suitable for overnight sleeping).

A good suspension with air-filled tires will help you navigate through rough terrain. You can also use it for jogging. However, you must wait until your baby is at minimum 6 or 9 months old.

Ickle Bubba Air

This pushchair from Ickle Bubba is an excellent option for parents looking for lightweight strollers with added features. The travel system comes with a lie flat carrycot for babies and a dual-position forward and rear facing seat for the pushchair.

The XL Air is a very impressive buggy. It's easy to see why it has received such high marks from its customers. It's extremely light - the chassis and wheels weigh just 6.5kg and it's extremely simple to construct. I was able get it up and running in just five minutes. This is amazing considering that it includes attaching fabric for the carrycot.

The seat is wide and comfortable for Annie, who is just 12 months old. The recline lever was simple to operate. The basket has plenty of space, and I like that the handle bar features pockets to keep your phone and keys safe.

The only downside is that the handlebar is quite low, which could be an issue for taller parents. However, it's coated in a gorgeous leather-like material that is soft and comfy and wipes down easily, so it's still a breeze to push with bags and children in your hands!

Hauck Pushchair Runner

The Runner is designed for active parents who are eager to get outside and explore. The large pneumatic wheels can be used on field and forest paths. The front wheel is lockable and swivels to allow for greater flexibility. It also comes with a cushioned 5-point safety harness and front bar to ensure your child is safe on all trips, while the parking brake effectively stops the stroller from moving even when you are taking a break. The comfy seat is easy to lower to a comfortable lying position, and the canopy opens up with netting to ensure maximum air circulation on hot days. The handle can be height-adjusted by more than 30 centimeters to accommodate mum or dad's heights.

Whether you're going for an easy jog or a hike that lasts a while The Runner will be there to accompany you on all your adventures with a comfortable, flat lie-flat seat and suspension air wheels that guarantee an unhurried ride. The front wheel can be locked for more stability on narrow streets or overcrowded sidewalks. The stroller can also fold up to fit into car boot spaces and storage areas.

Some parents have found the Runner 2 to be a little more difficult to maneuver than its predecessor, and the locking system is less user-friendly (requiring two buttons on either side of the push bar). The handlebar is higher than other strollers and therefore it may not be suitable for parents with shorter arms, but overall this is a sturdy and versatile stroller that is worth a look for families with active children.

The Pace is another great offering from Red Kite, an affordable British brand that prides itself on making easy-to-use and simple essentials for parents. It's also as with the Ickle Bubba Aurora and Yoyo it's car seat-compatible so you can use it from the beginning (the carrycot folds away).

The new Pace features some stunning design elements, including a rose-gold tint on the hood, chassis and stroller trims that truly make it stand out. The stroller and car seat fabrics are fashionable in tan, grey and cream. You can also add a leather handle and bumper bar to match.

Bugaboo Fox 5

Bugaboo's Fox 5 is designed to be the ultimate, all-terrain stroller. Its unique chassis, with a shorter wheel-distance, makes it much more mobile than its predecessor. I tried it out with my two children - an infant and an eight week old - over rough terrain as well as woodland walks that are grassy and even cobblestones.

The wheels that are puncture-proof are large in size - 22cm and a whopping 30cm - therefore they are able to handle many different terrains. The wheels have a flap that can be closed or opened to let air in when required. It's slightly larger than some pushchairs but it doesn't feel bulky or heavy when you push it across bumpy surfaces.

The seat fabric can be washed by machine and the faux leather grips and frame are easy to clean. It's also quieter than some pushchairs, and I felt confident using it on busy city streets. A bonus feature is that it has integrated accessory points, meaning you can add footmuffs, parasols, changing bags and even a snack tray. You can also use the hood to block out wind and rain, although it's not particularly waterproof. It's a single pram but you can attach their Comfort Wheeled Board (not included) to give your child a bit of leg room. The bassinet took about 20 minutes to set-up and it took about the same amount of time to convert it into a seat.

A fantastic feature is the reversible handlebar that allows you to adjust it to your height and preference. And unlike some jogging strollers, the Ridge's fold is solid and self-standing when folded.
