See a conflict of interest here? Apparently, our elected officials don't. In nearly every industry, insiders collude with government actors and oftentimes even get hired as lobbyists or consultants to "help" regulate or legislate the same industries they once worked in. The results are simple. More power, control, and advantages for the ruling class and their cronies while smaller businesses and industries feel the effects, get pushed into the corner and eventually either have to pay to play or meet their demise. It's been happening for so long we've normalized it and now call legalized bribery "lobbying." It's time to end the revolving door of government!
