In this study, the accuracy of different screening methods among ED patients is assessed by a high-quality synthesis. The number of tools available for screening delirium in the ED, the information of studies including the countries, the study design, the sample size and the characteristic of studies, the quality of the studies and the results of meta-analysis. The systematic review and meta-analysis will be published in a peer-reviewed journal.

According to the conclusion of the systematic review, evidence will be provided to judge which screening method is the best for the ED patients. The results will bring better understanding of screening methods in the ED and highlight gaps for future research.

Currently, an increasing number of long noncoding RNAs (LncRNAs) have been reported to be abnormally expressed in human carcinomas and play a vital role in tumourigenesis. Some studies were carried out to investigate the influence of the expression of plasmacytoma variant translocation 1 (PVT1) on prognosis and its clinical significance in patients with breast cancer, while the results were contradictory and uncertain. A meta-analysis was conducted with controversial data to accurately assess the issue.

A detailed search of relevant researches was performed in Wanfang, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure, Chongqing VIP Chinese Science and Technology Periodical Database, PubMed, Embase, and Web of Science. Two reviewers independently conducted data extraction and literature quality evaluation. Odd ratio and its 95% confidence intervals were applied to evaluate the relationship between PVT1 and clinicopathological characteristics of breast cancer patients. Hazard ratios and its 95% confidence intervals were adopted to assess the prognostic effects of PVT1 on overall survival and disease-free survival. Meta-analysis was conducted with Stata 14.0 software.

This study will provide high-quality evidence-based medical evidence for the correlation between PVT1 expression and overall survival, and disease-free survival and clinicopathological features.

The study will provide updated evidence to evaluate whether the expression of PVT1 is in association with poor prognosis in patients with breast cancer.

Non-apnea sleep disorder (NASD) increases the risk of motor vehicle accidents. However, systemic review of NASD and its risk for all causes of injury is lacking. The aim of the present study was to provide a detailed demographic data on NASD and all causes of injury in a 14-year follow up.Our study utilized outpatient and inpatient data from the Longitudinal Health Insurance Database between 2000 and 2013 in Taiwan. We enrolled 989,753 individuals aged ≥20 years who were diagnosed with NASD as outpatients ≥3 times or inpatients ≥1 time. We matched the study cohort with a comparison cohort by age, index date and comorbidities at a ratio of 14. We used Cox proportional hazards regression to analyze the association of NASD and the cause of injury. In this 14-year follow up study, patients with NASD had 12.96% increased risk of injury compared to that of the control cohort. Fall was the first place of the cause of injury with 670.26 per 105 PYs. In the stratified age group, patients aged ≧65 years had the highesh a comparison cohort by age, index date and comorbidities at a ratio of 14. Kaplan-Meier analysis showed that the incidence of injury between the with- and without-NASD cohorts started from the first year and persisted until the end of the follow-up.Our study demonstrates that NASD patients were associated with higher risk of all causes of injuries, with falling being the most prevalent diagnosis. The general public should be more aware of this neglected issue of NASD.
Health information technology (IT) is often proposed as a solution to fragmentation of care, and has been hypothesized to reduce readmission risk through better information flow. However, there are numerous distinct health IT capabilities, and it is unclear which, if any, are associated with lower readmission risk.To identify the specific health IT capabilities adopted by hospitals that are associated with hospital-level risk-standardized readmission rates (RSRRs) through path analyses using structural equation modeling. This STROBE-compliant retrospective cross-sectional study included non-federal U.S. acute care hospitals, based on their adoption of specific types of health IT capabilities self-reported in a 2013 American Hospital Association IT survey as independent variables. The outcome measure included the 2014 RSRRs reported on Hospital Compare website.A 54-indicator 7-factor structure of hospital health IT capabilities was identified by exploratory factor analysis, and corroborated by confirmatory faand information exchange among clinicians did not seem as beneficial - perhaps because of the quality or timeliness of information transmitted. Future research should use more recent data to study, not just adoption of health IT capabilities, but also whether their usage is associated with lower readmission risk. Understanding which capabilities impact readmission risk can help policymakers and clinical stakeholders better focus their scarce resources as they invest in health IT to improve care delivery.
Archery has existed in human history for millenniums. Being a unique exercise and precision sport, the keys to performance are emotional control, attention, and concentration rather than explosive force, muscle power, and endurance. During the execution of archery, attention is the key to performance in elite players, especially in the initial period while drawing the bow. https://www.selleckchem.com/products/Carboplatin.html Auricular acupoint stimulation is one of the therapeutic methods of traditional Chinese medicine and has been reported for its use in amplifying the anesthesia effect, weight reduction, cessation of substance abuse, and autonomic nervous modulation.

The study will recruit archery players in school teams among junior and senior high schools and colleges. The subjects will be randomly assigned to the ear and sham acupressure groups. This is a randomized controlled trial with crossover design. The outcome measures will be obtained, including the meridian activities and balance index with Ryodoraku device, the movement stability with WIMU tracking system, the continuous heart rate record, and the scores of the 2 sections as the performance.
