Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and clean offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris and wet messes in one session, without having to switch devices. They can also reduce space compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living areas.

A good combination bot should be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacles avoidance. Look for models that can automatically empty their bins and refill their water tank, and machine-wash their mopping pads from a dedicated dock.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It's one of the simplest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and the quick-start guide will get you up and running with a clean and complete dust bag, a hard floor solution and water tank in no time at all.

The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that cleans up a mess and vacuums well too. Its mops spin at high speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of dirt, pet hair and dried sticky spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a selection of attachments and brushes, and an intuitive app that lets you select the type of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.

For instance, you could opt for the robot to do a deep clean in the kitchen and living rooms but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It is able to detect small obstacles that other models can't. The only issue it has is that it tends to smash into walls and other objects at a high speed, but a quick glance at the history of cleaning in the app will tell you exactly what it's doing, where it's going and what obstacles it's run into or avoided.

The docking station comes with an LCD display that shows when maintenance is needed for cleaning up debris and cleaning the dirty water tank. It also mixes detergent into the water tank automatically by using a 600ml eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop are able to run for a long time, with the mop capable of running for up to 184 minutes in quiet mode, and the vacuum able to do 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing to recharge or return to the base to replenish. The app is easy to use and intuitive that lets you see all the details of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop, is the most recent version. It's not like the model from last year this one has an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad, which significantly improves its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has improved suction power, allowing it to remove small hairs and other particles that other robotic cleaners might miss.

Like the other two Roborock models I've tried it also has a 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology that can help to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things an extra step by incorporating a dual camera that can detect objects and decide whether they're a wall or another type of surface. It then can automatically alter its path and clean around them without missing a beat.

It's the most expensive of the three models I've examined, however, it's also the most loaded with features. Its sleek and angular design is eye-catching and it only has three physical buttons that include the power button which also resumes cleaning; a mop-only switch that doubles as a child lock; and a home button that can return the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml tank of water. The water tank automatically empties and the bin automatically refills.

The only issue I encountered to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. It is possible to change the mopping cloth if required, but it's a challenge to remove the mount for manual washing. I've noticed that any plush carpet that the robot passes will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, and could cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart features, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app lets you manage and set up these smart features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the battery life and maintain your components. You'll need to go through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering how well-performing it is otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop that has outstanding suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and ingenuity features. Its innovative design lets users to tailor and effectively clean while saving time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to offer 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful choices available. This powerful vacuum can clear up pet hair as well as crumbs and other dry mess. It also comes with a top-quality mop that leaves hard floors sparkling clean, even with a wet pad. The X40 is also extremely quiet in operation with only occasional bursts during modes changes or self-maintenance.

The X40 also comes with an additional side brush that can be lifted and extended. This allows it to reach into corners that are difficult to reach and clean furniture that is curved like table and chair legs. The robot is also able to reach under low-profile furnishings which makes it a great choice for small apartments or condos. The side brush tilts automatically down when it spots wet spots. This is a nice feature that enables the X40 to prevent damage to floors from repeated back-and-forth movements.

In contrast to other robots that only focus on one task, the X40 is capable of performing mopping and vacuuming simultaneously or individually. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors, and skip carpeted areas, and vice versa. It can be controlled using the Dreame app or with Alexa, Siri, and Google Home to ensure a smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is easy to use and intuitive and the X40 comes with a variety of smart features that are simple to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. It can also be adjusted to adjust suction power, alter modes, look at floor plans and maps, and manage mopping setting. The X40 will also track its progress, and alert you when it's done.

The X40 is easy to keep clean and has many convenient features that make it an excellent option for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin, and clean mop pads before refilling them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It can also detect if the mop pad is at its capacity to the max and notify you of the situation before it spills.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models on the market. It has a number of features that make it stand out. The mops come with a brand new feature called Smart DuoScrub that utilizes two mops that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly than the standard method, and has an impressive suction power of 7,000Pa. This is much higher than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can vacuum up pet hair and other small dirt particles as well as picking up spills and wet spots.

The mops are cleaned and dried at the base station every time they are used. This is a fantastic feature as it stops the growth of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature we haven't yet seen on other robot vacuums and mop models and could be a good method of keeping your home cleaner for longer.

There are plenty of options, including the option to schedule cleaning times and adjust preferences. These can be set via the app or there are buttons that can be found on the unit itself. The app is easy to use and offers many options for customising the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are https://posteezy.com/4-dirty-little-tips-robot-vacuums-mop-and-robot-vacuums-mop-industry that other robots don't include, such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power when it detects dust particles rather than using the manual setting.

The L20 Ultra is also one of the most elegant robots we've seen on market, with metallic and white colors that looks elegant and classy. It's heavier than some of the other two-in-1 robots on this list, at 4kg however it's not overly heavy either, and it feels sturdy and well-built. The mopping system is well designed, and the double rotating mop is great for hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them reach up to 2mm below baseboards.
