A psychotherapist in Indonesia transforms clients through the voice of God!

My name is Henny Wirawan, and I am from Indonesia. I work as a psychotherapist and speak at various seminars and trainings for different groups during my time.

I am one of the graduates of the doctoral program at Christian Leadership University who feels very fortunate and blessed by God since learning how easy it is to meet with God and hear His voice. The only thing I regret and question repeatedly is, "Why is it in 2022 that I just found cluonline.com in my search for further studies?" But I also believe that God makes everything beautiful in His time, and according to His will, everything happens.

In addition to feeling the profound changes in my life's journey because of the various materials I acquired during my study process, I also rejoiced in being able to witness first-hand how God touched the people I served when applying various prayer methods and techniques, both for listening to God's voice as a daily habit and for meeting God in times of suffering and past trauma. My heart rejoices when the people I serve can meet God, talk to God, hear His voice, and even see His actions in difficult times. And I find that some of them recover much faster because of their new skill, which is to live in the presence of God in their inner healing process.

Not only in individual ministries, but my heart overflows with gratitude when God allows me to witness His work as He touches souls who seek Him and try for the first time to live out His presence in corporate prayers, albeit in a relatively short time. This happened in the mentoring classes I regularly organize for my team members and a family camp just held last weekend. With about 150 participants, consisting of children, teenagers, and adults, I enjoyed the sweet moment of God's presence for almost every individual present.

It was a beautiful moment I could not keep to myself, and the Lord told me to write an email to share my joy with you. Thank you, Dr. Virkler, for having a sensitive heart to catch God's message and a life that is always open to His marvelous work on this earth. I pray that God will continue to bless you and grant you new wisdom and revelation.

Sincerely,
Dr. Henny Wirawan

Additionally, I have included the story of one of my team members, Ms. Monaries Jony, who has been attending my "Thursday Healing" group for the past year to learn how to listen to God's voice.

Testimony from Ms. Monaries Jony: “Learning to hear from God has completely transformed my life. Growing up, I didn't have a positive parental figure to look up to, so I constantly searched for inspiration, wisdom, guidance, and direction. However, since I learned to apply the four steps to hear from God, I feel closer to Him, supported, and more confident in facing my fears. Every day, I take small, courageous steps, knowing I'm not alone and guided by His peace and vision.

God's gentle nudge also requires me to trust and lean on His power and surrender, which can be challenging since I'm used to being in control as a way of coping. During a recent retreat where we listened for God's voice, I heard Him say to me, "You are enough," something I've heard and read many times before, but that when spoken by God, comes with a peaceful assurance that marks His presence in our hearts.

As I learn to hear from God, I'm convinced that the Holy Spirit will continue to guide me toward fulfilling His plan and purpose for my life.” (Monaries J., Indonesia)

Breaking Down Walls

January 04, 2024
by Pastor Chuck Swindoll
Scriptures: Esther 8:15–17
The Jews were filled with joy and gladness and were honored everywhere. In every province and city, wherever the king’s decree arrived, the Jews rejoiced and had a great celebration and declared a public festival and holiday. And many of the people of the land became Jews themselves, for they feared what the Jews might do to them. (Esther 8:16–17)
It was like Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all rolled into one. It was like Berlin on the ninth of November 1989! It was like nothing they had ever seen before. They would sing all night and all the next day because the gloom was lifted! The darkness wasn't impenetrable after all. It had just seemed so.

Do you live in a place of gloom and darkness, where laughter doesn't echo off the walls? Has your life become grim or even borderline tragic? While others go home to the love and warmth of a family, do you go home alone to the awful memory of broken relationships, remorse, and guilt?

Perhaps your last sounds of the day are the clanging of a cell door and some guard yelling, "Lights out!" Do you look with longing at a scene like this one in Esther?

Esther's story is no irrelevant slice of history tucked away in the folds of an ancient scroll. These principles are still at work today. This is life, as relevant today as when it was first recorded. This is written to people who face intimidating, stubborn souls. Perhaps they live with them, are married to them, or have grown children like that. This is written to people whose lives have been scarred by documents and lawsuits, bad reports, or rumors. This is written to people whose lives are lived within the thick, stone walls of depression and doom. And this chapter announces in bold letters: There is hope!

Walls fall every day. But we cannot predict when yours will fall. God is in the business of breaking down walls. Take hope! Take heart! This will pass. The truth will become known. Every day walls of depression and gloom are penetrated by the wonderful presence of the living God.

Weeping may last for the night,
But a shout of joy comes in the morning. (Psalm 30:5)

The Birthday of a King!
DECEMBER 20, 2023

“…and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
Luke 2:20

Recommended Reading: Matthew 1:20-23
Some people knew him as an accomplished organist who made New York’s St. Michael’s Church vibrate with intensity every Sunday morning. Others knew him as a compassionate worker with disabled children and the founder of a school for underachievers in East Orange, New Jersey. Today we know him as the composer who gave us one of our greatest Christmas carols: William H. Neidlinger.

Neidlinger was born on July 20, 1863, in Brooklyn, New York. He studied in London and Paris, and he taught in Chicago and New Jersey. He was a choral conductor, voice teacher, poet, and organist. A creative editor of songbooks, primarily for children, he was also a pragmatic musical theorist on methods and education. Above all, he was a composer.

While the specifics of the creation of “The Birthday of a King” are unknown, we can guess that it might have been written for children—as his volume of children’s songs was a standard resource for early educators in the latter years of the nineteenth century.

As Neidlinger sought to teach children about the gift of music, God, too, continually seeks to teach His children. We are taught of how the heavens rejoiced and the angels cheered at the birth of our Savior. For Jesus wasn’t born by accident. He entered this world at a preordained moment to fulfill an eternally planned strategy for redeeming the human race. What a birthday celebration that must have been!

We are taught that Christmas is the celebration of the moment the Eternal God entered into humanity through the womb of a virgin—history’s greatest miracle of conception and birth. The reason Christmas captures our attention is that we have the sense that God Himself is being born—born so that we may be born again in Him. In light of these teachings, how can we also not rejoice and focus on the joy that appeared that first Christmas night?

As we inch closer to the birthday of our Savior, write out, as a family, a list of the things you are joyful for. Although it may be hard amongst the busyness of the season, take some time to sit down and really contemplate what “joy” is in your life. Perhaps you’re joyful for good health, a new job opportunity, or an impending graduation. Whatever falls on your list, thank God for it all.

Alleluia! O how the angels sang. Alleluia! How it rang!
And the sky was bright with a holy light, ’Twas the birthday of a King.
