TMost professing Believers today believe that it’s up to them to decide how they’re going to live their lives, and it’s up to God to bless them in whatever they decide. But Jesus says, if you want to know the way to the Father, you have to be willing to let go of your plans and desires, be willing to renounce what you want, and accept what God commands. This will make most people uncomfortable, but I’m going to just come right out and say it anyway - salvation requires that we give up the control of our lives to God; we can’t be in charge anymore! No one wants to hear that. But, it’s true. This is how Paul said it: 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
