Albums

The discography of the American rock group Toto includes 13 studio albums, 4 live albums, as well as a number of compilations. Toto has released original music and collaborated with other artists on soundtracks and films. Toto has won numerous Grammy Awards.

Before the formation of Toto the band, members performed session work for other musicians. Drummer Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate, and keyboardist David Paich (the son of session drummer Marty Paich and brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro) played on Boz Scaggs' 1975 album Silk Degrees. The group's collaboration led to formation of Toto in 1976.

Toto's third album, Turn Back, marked a change from the more progressive sound of their previous efforts and was criticized for the lack of hit singles. In 1985, the group's lead singer Fergie Fredericksen resigned the group, and they held auditions to choose a new frontman. The band selected guitarist Steve Lukather, and recorded Fahrenheit in 1986.

In 1998, Toto celebrated its 20th anniversary by re-discovering demos and tapes from the past to release a special album called Toto XX. The album was well-received by fans, and the band embarked upon a tour with former members Bobby Kimball Steve Porcaro and Joseph Williams.

While touring for the album 40 Trips Around the Sun the drummer Leland Sklar left the group and was replaced by Shem von Schroeck. In 2017, Toto released the double-CD set Falling in Between. It included recordings from the tour and also an interview with the group.

Toto has released a variety of music videos. The group has also released numerous compilation videos and DVDs. The most popular video of the group is "Africa", which has more than a billion views on YouTube. The video is set in a library where the band performs on top of the stack of African books.

The track "Africa", from the album Toto IV, was written by the members of the band and was produced by David Pich. The song was written by members of the band and produced by David Paich. The group Toto is best known for their hit "Africa" Recently, the band joined forces for a tour to promote their newest album, All In. The album, released on November 6, 2018 included three brand new tracks from the upcoming 40 Trips Around the Sun as well as completed recordings of four tracks from the past with Jeff Porcaro playing drums and Mike or Steve Porcaro playing bass. The album also featured a cover version of Weezer’s song "Hash Pipe" that the band added after hearing it on the radio.
