Kelly Wong immigrated to the U.S. in 2019 from China. Wong, who isn't legally permitted to vote in the U.S. will now be overseeing and creating policy for the San Francisco Department of Elections. Wong was appointed unanimously by a Board of Supervisors as a result of a 2020 voter-approved measure that removed the citizenship requirements to serve on San Francisco boards, commissions and advisory bodies. Wong is a staff member with an organisation called Chinese for Affirmative Action (CAA). CAA collaborates with other groups, which have ties to the Chinese Communist Party to stop efforts against Chinese espionage in the U.S. under the CCP umbrella of Anti-Asian Hate. Over the last decade, we've seen a rise in Chinese owned American land, Chinese authorities setting up shop in American cities, the rush for economic dominance by China through BRICS, and an undeniable flood of Chinese citizens crossing the U.S. southern border. Is allowing a Chinese, non U.S. citizen with ties to the CPP to oversee elections a part of a growing pattern American should be concerned about?
