DAILY REPORT February 09,2024

According to reports obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation, Border Patrol agents detained an illegal immigrant crossing the southern border illegally. This same immigrant admitted to past ties to a Colombian group previously designated as a terrorist organization.
According to the reports, agents apprehended the immigrant, identified as Oscar De Leon-Ramirez, among a group of eight Colombian and Salvadoran nationals in Texas’ El Paso sector. He was discovered shortly after the National Targeting Center notified agents of the subject’s possible record of terrorist activities.

During an interview with the immigrant, De Leon-Ramirez admitted to working for the Autodefensas Unidas de Colombia (AUC), a group that was previously designated as a terrorist organization by the U.S. government.
He admitted to having crossed the U.S./Mexico International Boundary illegally on Tuesday. De Leon-Ramirez also admitted that in 2004/2005, he voluntarily enlisted in the Autodefensas Unidas de Colombia (AUC).

De Leon-Ramirez further admitted that some of his duties as an AUC member were to patrol the mountainous rural areas of Istmina, Colombia. It also includes locating guerrilla members of the FARC (Fuerza Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia) and other entities involved with extortion and trafficking in Colombia.
