Mike Lindell recently shared a statement regarding Fox News, claiming the mainstream media outlet canceled his advertisements in retaliation for hiring a conservative commentator for his Lindell TV program. Despite Lindell’s claims, Fox News responded by saying the cancellation stemmed from Lindell’s balance with the news network.
Fox News representatives reached out to Lindell multiple times about his failure to pay prior invoices before ultimately deciding to pull his advertisements from the network. According to Fox News, Lindell hasn’t paid for his previous advertisements and is welcome to advertise on Fox News once he pays the remaining invoices. Lindell stated that he isn’t aware of Fox’s reasoning behind removing MyPillow ads and cited other potential reasons.
Lindell said that the decision to remove his advertisements amounts to interference by Fox News, which he claims is meant to limit his outreach due to his controversial stance on American politics. Lindell remains one of former President Donald Trump’s most avid supporters and regularly shares his belief that President Joe Biden won the 2020 presidential election illegitimately. Lindell also cited his new television network, Lindell TV, as another reason for Fox removing his advertisements.
Lindell recently hired Lou Dobbs to host a show on his television network, a decision that Lindell claims will likely upset Fox News. Lou Dobbs worked with Fox News for ten years on the program titled “Fox News Business.” Following the 2020 election, Dobbs made controversial comments about the election results, prompting the network to part ways with the conservative commentator. Lindell hired Dobbs for Lindell TV, where Dobbs will host a new political show catering to members of the far-right.
