Did you know that, in Tennessee, hunters are barred from harvesting a true albino deer?

Experts say that about one in 20-30,000 deer become true albinos. Killing an albino is a Class B misdemeanor, punishable by a $500 fine.

While the state of Tennessee prohibits the hunting of albinos, whitetail deer with other types genetic mutations are fair game (no pun intended). Piebald deer, for instance (known for their distinct, white and brown fur pattern), are encouraged to be hunted.
