Google Blocking News Content in Canada. U.S. Is Next.
"Whether it was random chance or not, I have become part of the four per cent of Canadian Google users now blocked from accessing Canadian news on the world’s most popular search engine.

On Wednesday, Google announced the start of a five-week trial blocking around four per cent of Canadian internet users from accessing homegrown news content — which applies to content both on its search engine and smartphone-based news features.
