This story gave me pause like few others. Even people who love you or claim to love you seem willing to take until there is absolutely nothing left to give. Time, money, things, food, sanity, health. Give long enough and even appreciation dies. I have on a rare occasion seen two givers and it is a beautiful statement to what the world could look like but doesn’t. I am soul deep tired but hanging on to hope. Boundless compassion with boundaries of steel.

There was a homeless fellow at Popeyes and I gave him some loose ones in my pocket..and he said "thank you"...so I asked him.."How did you get to this point?" He looked up, smiled and said "SHOWING LOVE"
What do you mean?"

I went thru my whole life making sure everyone else was ok no matter what was going right or wrong in my own life. I did for others. I never wanted to see others go without.

Do you regret it?

No it just hurt me to my soul that the very people I gave the shirt off my back to wouldn't give me a sleeve off that same shirt when I was in need.

It is better to build your own house and invite someone in for shelter than to hand them your bricks while you building yours, cause if you keep handing them bricks from the house that you are suppose to be building you will turn around one day and that spot where you planned to build your house will be a empty lot.

Then my friend you are the one left looking for bricks.

This one spoke right to my soul. I have been so blessed so often and turned and handed it out to people who have no concept of sharing or helping. They only have the taking locked down.
