Americans have been sold a lie about our government’s involvement in Ukraine — that we’re helping a Democratic ally defend itself from a tyrannical neighbor.

But to Ukraine’s millions of faithful, this is just a fairy tale, a myth created for the western public so they’ll support a bloody business they wouldn’t otherwise.
