Among various virulence-targeting therapies, nanosponges (NSs) have excellent neutralization effects on multiple PFTs. In the present work, red blood cell (RBC) vesicles were harvested to wrap polymer nanoparticles, leading to the formation of NSs, and the optimal Pluronic F127 hydrogel concentration was determined for gelation. Efficacy and safety according to age groups (<65 and ≥65 years) were assessed using data from five clinical trials in patients ≥40 years of age with symptomatic COPD.
