Dr. Petrick has served on many boards, including Opportunity Village, an organization that provides work opportunities for individuals with mental disabilities.
He helped develop and create Keep It Simple-Make It Fun (KISMIFLV.org). This is a recreation and leisure program for individuals with mental and physical disabilities. It provides camping, hiking, canoeing, fishing, and other fun outdoor activities for those with physical and mental disabilities.
Dr. Petrick supports all law enforcement and stands against any call for DEFUNDING the police. In fact, on July 19, 2020, he and his brother, Jeff Petrick, created and hosted the “Thin Blue Line Dinner” in honor of all of the various police departments that protect and serve our community. The dinner was a huge success, with over 350 police officers from many different police groups and associations in attendance: Metro, ICE, Swat, US Marshals, Border Patrol, and the Henderson and North Las Vegas Police departments.
For many years, Dr. Petrick has provided free physicals for inner city boys and girls who want to participate in local boxing events. In addition to the physicals, he is the ring announcer and helps under-privileged children by providing the opportunity to showcase their boxing skills in the ring and teaching them love for their community outside the ring.
Dr. Petrick’s work has not gone unnoticed, as he was elected to the Leadership Las Vegas 2004 program, and he was a finalist for the City of Las Vegas’s Community Achievement Award for his outstanding community enrichment programs and the effort he has put forth to help those individuals who need help the most.
