J.D. Vance Blast Biden And Democrats On Campus Antisemitic Protest

Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) blasted Democrats and President Joe Biden over the ongoing antisemitic protest going on at elite universities across the nation.

Elite colleges like Columbia and Yale have seen violent pro-Palestine protests that have seen many destructions and arrests, including that of Rep. Ilhan Omar’s daughter. Vance, while speaking on Fox News, told host Jesse Watters that parents pay to get a good education for their children but are getting indoctrination instead.
“This is the convergence of two factors that the left has been openly cultivating for years now,” Vance said. “On one hand, you have well-educated, limousines, self-hating liberals who get very good educations, but really they’re getting very good indoctrinations — they’re not getting an education in anything. And then, on the flip side, you have the importation of millions of people, some of whom are vetted and some of whom hate this country. Those two forces are joining in Columbia and in Yale and producing this incredible campus violence.”
Vance insisted that it is time Biden called the presidents of the colleges and asked them to end the protest. The lawmaker then insisted that the violent protesters must be arrested.
“Obviously, we condemn antisemitism, Jesse, but I don’t care what you are underlying ideology is,” Vance continued. If you’re harassing fellow students, if you’re preventing people from getting to class, if you’re stabbing your fellow students in the eye with flags, you should go to prison. I don’t know why Joe Biden and the Democrats can’t just utter the simple basic truth that if you violate the law, if you set up a tent city, if you turn our cities or campuses into garbage dumps for your political protest, you need to be forced to comply with the law. That’s what we did in the sixties, and that’s what we need to do today, or it’s gonna keep on getting weirder and weirder.”

As the 2024 election approaches, NBC's Steve Kornacki and Meet The Press host Kristen Welker reacted to another survey revealing challenging news for President Biden.

"We talk about the erosion for Biden and now you start to see it," Kornacki remarked in response to the latest survey, expressing surprise, "Look at these numbers."
When questioned about various crucial characteristics and topics like handling inflation and the economy, 52% of respondents favored former President Trump, signaling an advantage for Trump. Only 40% of respondents chose President Biden, marking a 22-point swing in favor of Trump.
Regarding the importance of good physical and mental health for respondents, President Trump also scored significantly.

Concerning Trump's cognitive capacity, 45% of respondents felt more confident than they did about Biden (20% of respondents supported Biden).
In terms of "competence and effectiveness," 47% chose Trump and 36% chose Biden among those surveyed. This contrasts sharply with a poll conducted in 2020 where Biden held a roughly 10-point lead over Trump, prompting a surprised reaction from Welker.

Kornacki highlighted Biden's previous edge over Trump in handling crises, noting a reversal in favor of Trump. The comparison between Trump and Clinton in terms of their presidential track records also shifted, with Trump now surpassing Biden in that aspect.

Cast Historic 9,000th Consecutive Senate Roll Call Vote

Last Friday night, Senator Collins cast her 9,000th consecutive roll call vote, extending her unbroken voting streak, which began in 1997. Senator Collins is the first Senator in history to have cast 9,000 votes without ever having missed a vote during her entire time in the Senate.

Prior to the historic vote, Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), and Senate Republican Whip John Thune (R-SD), congratulated Senator Collins on the Senate Floor to applause of her colleagues.

“I congratulate Senator Collins on this historic accomplishment. It puts her in rare company in the history of the chamber. Senator Collins and I, of course, belong to different parties, but she has the enormous respect of those of us on this side of the aisle as well as her own colleagues, and I have been grateful for the chance to work with her in recent years on many issues,” said Senator Schumer.

“Day after day, year after year, our senior-most appropriator has demonstrated through her dedication, if you do your homework, you show up to vote, most everything else will fall in line. So, I'd like to add my congratulations to my good friend, Senator Collins, on this tremendous milestone. The people of Maine are lucky to have her,” said Senator McConnell.

“For 27 straight years and 9,000 straight votes, she has delivered every single day for the people of Maine, and for the people of this country, and I am grateful to have the privilege and opportunity to serve with her, as is I think every single one of us.
