troke and repeated revascularization. Conclusions and Relevance Total arterial revascularization was associated with improved long-term freedom from major adverse cardiac and cerebrovascular events, death, and myocardial infarction and may be the procedure of choice for patients with reasonable life expectancy requiring CABG.OBJECTIVES to identify elements that contribute to strengthen the family system of children with Zika virus congenital syndrome according to Betty Neuman's theory. METHODS qualitative research, carried out in the outpatient service of a public hospital in the city of Recife, Brazil, with 13 mothers, by semi-structured interviews. The IRAMUTEQ software was used for data analysis and the interpretation was carried out according to Betty Neuman's Systems Model Theory. RESULTS the dendrogram originated five categories, which we named Family Routine, Health Service Assistance, Changes in Lifestyle, Support Network, and Social Repercussions of Care for the the Family Context. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS nursing actions based on Betty Neuman's theory provide subsidies for the recognition of elements that strengthen the defense lines of the family system. These resources can be explored, aiming to maintaining the well-being and balance in the context of the family system.OBJECTIVES to analyze the main non-conformities of the nursing records of a public hospital in Natal, Brazil. METHODS this is a descriptive, cross-sectional study, with a quantitative approach. This study was conducted in nursing departments of medical and surgical wards. The sample was composed of 120 medical records of inpatients between October and December 2016. The obtained data were tabulated and analyzed by simple statistics in absolute and relative frequency using the 2013 Microsoft Excel software. The Pareto Diagram was used to evaluate the non-conformities of the records. RESULTS the main problems in the nursing records were the absence of the professional category and the nursing council number, responsible for 41.8% of the non-conformities in the records of nursing technicians; for nurses' records, the main non-conformities were the absence of time and the illegible handwriting, with 61.2%. CONCLUSIONS the study showed that nursing professionals perform their records incompletely and often do not document the care provided.OBJECTIVES to understand the pleasure-suffering duality experienced by students in stricto sensu Graduate Program in Nursing. METHODS qualitative, integrated single-case study based on the Psychodynamics of Work. The setting was the stricto sensu Graduate Program in Nursing in Brazil. Two Graduate Programs were chosen. Data collection took place between May 2017 and April 2018, with 23 students, through interviews guided by semi-structured script and Documentary Analysis. Content Analysis was carried out. RESULTS two analysis units emerged Situations generating pleasure bridges built by the Graduate Program and Situations generating suffering walls of the Graduate Program. They were discussed in two dimensions - organizational and socio-professional relations. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS the results can contribute to the planning of actions capable of potentiating the creation of "bridges" that lead to reach of pleasure in the Graduate Program. It impels the confrontation of suffering-generating situations for the student.OBJECTIVES Describe a predictive model of hospitalization frequency for children and adolescents with chronic disease. METHODS A decision tree-based model was built using a database of 141 children and adolescents with chronic disease admitted to a federal public hospital; 18 variables were included and the frequency of hospitalization was defined as the outcome. RESULTS The decision tree obtained in this study could properly classify 80.85% of the participants. Model reading provided an understanding that situations of greater vulnerability such as unemployment, low income, and limited or lack of family involvement in care were predictors of a higher frequency of hospitalization. CONCLUSIONS The model suggests that nursing professionals should adopt prevention actions for modifiable factors and authorities should make investments in health promotion for non-modifiable factors. It also enhances the debate about differentiated care to these patients.OBJECTIVES To investigate the association between the professionals who attended vaginal delivery and breastfeeding in the first hour of life. METHODS This is a cross-sectional study with data from the Nascer no Brasil (Born in Brazil) survey, conducted in the 2011-2012 period. Data from 8,466 puerperae were analyzed using a logistic regression model with a hierarchical approach. RESULTS The proportion of mothers who breastfed at birth was higher in deliveries attended by nurses (70%). A nurse-assisted delivery was 64% more likely to breastfeed in the first hour of life. Other factors associated with the outcome residing in the North; age less than 35 years; multiparity; prenatal guidance on breastfeeding in the first hour of life; birth at Baby-Friendly Hospital; companion at birth; and female newborn. CONCLUSIONS Obstetrician nurse/nurse-assisted delivery was a significant independent factor associated with breastfeeding in the first hour of life, suggesting the importance of strengthening the role of the obstetrician nurse.OBJECTIVES To identify the knowledge and practice of primary care nurses about the social network approach for families of children with chronic diseases. https://www.selleckchem.com/products/bemnifosbuvir-hemisulfate-at-527.html METHODS Qualitative research, conducted by means of interviews with 23 family health nurses, from one municipality in Paraíba and one in Rio de Janeiro, from June to July of 2017. The data were interpreted using thematic analysis. RESULTS Social network meant institutional support offered by services outside the unit, and socioeconomic problems involved the family context. In practice, nurses find it difficult to provide comprehensive care and establish ties with families. When referring to other professionals, a weakness in the counter-referral to the family health unit is found. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS Some gaps were found regarding the knowledge and practice of nurses regarding the social network approach, which requires professional training to strengthen social relationships and the necessary support for families of children with chronic diseases.
