BREAKING NEWS: CANADA: NOVA SCOTIA: As more and more people are forced by the MASSIVE greed of the real estate oligarchy in Halifax, Nova Scotia to live in the forests, parks and streets, the wealthy people are now being overwhelmed by the angry. Tents and make shift shelters are beginning to clutter the cities as people, WHO HAVE JOBS, are forced into the streets. Wages of most workers here amount to $2,000 a month or $24,000 per year. BUT... the greed of the wealthy share holders and owners of Halifax's apartments, most still under construction, are pushing people out in the streets and parks to live.
This reporter investigated the cause of the crisis and found it due to several causes of an economic disease we call "capitalism". The greed of the apartment owners has the rent requirements to include that you must have PRE-INSURANCE FOR APARTMENT LEASING, at a rate of $15-$20 dollars a month. YOU MUST also have a gross income yearly at $52,500 to acquire a one bedroom apartment or if you need a two bedroom apartment you must have a yearly income at $94,000 gross per year (or your application will be thrown away). Most people in Halifax have a gross yearly income at $28,000 per year. YOU can see the problem here... right?
That results in... many people are piling into apartments. Students will live up to 9 to a single room. That's right. 9 TO A SINGLE ROOM!
As the crisis deepens, Premier Houston (government official in charge of housing and part of the problem as he is one of the apartment building owners) has answered the call by putting off rent increases until the end of January. AND... instead of the usual 2% increase we use to have back in the day, the rent increase will run to 5%... on people WHO HAVE LITTLE INCOME! What that means is there will be a rent increase of ANOTHER $150 UPON TWO BEDROOM APARTMENT RENTERS for example. So far... that is Premier Houston's answer to the crisis. So if you think the housing crisis is bad now... WAIT UNTIL YOU SEE WHAT HAPPENS IN A YEAR. WE ARE LOOKING AT A MAD MAX SCENARIO.
In fact, things as so very bad in Halifax at the moment, police officers are not able to "make a go of it" and are resigning on mass. 20 officers cleared out their lockers in the last 10 days. This is actually a blessing as it will create a stronger revolutionary force that will emerge out of this chaos. As people are forced into the streets and forests, all it will take is an organized small group of well spoken revolutionaries to meet, talk with and sympathise with these people and organize this manpower into a collective force of thousands across Canada with the sole purpose to fight back against the injustice they are suffering through. They can surely f*ck up the transportation systems, and work spaces shutting down entire cities and causing the wealthy to turn on the politicians who have now made the lives of the rich and middle class a scary mess. God knows the anger is real and growing. This reporter hears the words of "revolution" spoken out loud in restaurants, coffee houses and bus stops on a weekly basis.
Other root causes of the crisis? 2 examples: Halifax is a university/college town. University recruiters went to India and promised those kids and their families "the sun the moon the stars" and "Canada's streets are paved in gold, you will all get a great job here, you will all have housing, the classes are small." So they arrived by the thousands to a lie and it was too late to quit. Too late to turn back. No return on investments. The university recruiters f*cked everyone up the ass! Then there is the Liberal Party's war against Russia. As the Liberal Party destroyed the businesses and homes of Ukrainians by participating in giving them useless weapons to make them a target, the Liberal, NDP and Conservative Party brought hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians to Canada and dumped tens of thousands of them into Halifax making the Canadians PAY THEIR RENT WHILE EVICTING CANADIANS out of their apartments because the apartment owners and share holders can then boost the rents through the roof without penalty. Thus... the apartment crisis in Halifax origins.
