The United States Constitution is not an odd thing. It's not a document full of ideas that haven't been tried yet and are just waiting to be shown to the world. The ideas in our founding documents were well thought out and researched by intelligent, honest people. They didn't want to copy the way other countries with monarchies or oligarchies ran their governments after they won their hard-won freedom.
