If Apple’s apology about employees snooping on private Siri conversations is any indication, our devices are listening to us in more ways than we realize. Computer science academics at Northeastern University conducted research with 17,000 of the most popular apps on Android and as Gizmodo reported, apps were found to be “recording the phone’s screen and sending that information out to third parties.” o be fair, the likelihood of audio files of every conversation you have being transmitted and transcribed in full and then analyzed by an actual person is low. However, there are plenty of ways for algorithms and artificial intelligence to “listen” to you — and then use that data to target ads to you. https://www.forbes.com/sites/nathanpettijohn/2019/09/03/of-course-your-phone-is-listening-to-you/#:~:text=To%20be%20fair%2C%20the%20likelihood%20of%20audio%20files,use%20that%20data%20to%20target%20ads%20to%20you.

The truth is you have no right to privacy — and you probably never did.
